RBSA Friends Autumn Exhibition 2013

brown_grassesI’ve submitted three pieces of textile work to the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Friends’ Autumn exhibitionBrown Grasses, Yellow Spike and Underbrush Bird and they have been accepted!  The exhibition runs from Weds 28th August to Sat 7th September. The private view is on Thursday 29th August 6pm – 8pm. I’m looking forward to seeing all the other entries as well as my own work in the RBSA situ. It’s a lovely gallery in the heart of Birmingham’s jewellery quarter.

There are lots of other lovely things on show in the gallery space downstairs including some gorgeous jewellery and paintings. Well worth having a look!

Hey, I'm a textile artist based in the UK. I like playing around with fabric paint, stitching both hand and machine embroidery and I have far too many sequins. I'm inspired by nature, its mysteries, subtleties, delights and complexities. The outer natural world has its counterpart in the inner spiritual world and I am also inspired by folklore, poetry, fairytales, stories of long ago when the spirits of nature seemed less shy than they do today, as well as my own shamanic journeys into the dreamland.
