This is an original painting of a Tawny Owl portrait. This is the bird that makes the characteristic “twit twoo” sound which is actually two owls calling to each other. It can sound quite eerie in the dead of night.
The owl is gazing out into the night and is set against a dark blue starry sky with a glowing full moon.
