Bronze Textures

I have been mucking about with this for a while using textile felt tip pens, gold fabric paint, machine stitching and some hand embroidery and some little square translucent green sequins. I think it’s a bit over the top with the amount of stuff on it but I kind of like it. I can’t seem to stop going over it! I was fiddling about with it while doing a demo day of my techniques and artwork at the Birmingham City Art Gallery and Museum. It was a nice feeling being paid to sit there and enjoy myself!bronze grasses7 bronze grasses6 bronze grasses5 bronze grasses3  Bronze Grasses by Nicky Perryman Textile Artist

Hey, I'm a textile artist based in the UK. I like playing around with fabric paint, stitching both hand and machine embroidery and I have far too many sequins. I'm inspired by nature, its mysteries, subtleties, delights and complexities. The outer natural world has its counterpart in the inner spiritual world and I am also inspired by folklore, poetry, fairytales, stories of long ago when the spirits of nature seemed less shy than they do today, as well as my own shamanic journeys into the dreamland.
